I am building a new home and drainage around the foundation is crucial. Is there another option other than weeping tile?

Yes there is another option. The product is called Form-A-Drain. It serves two purposes. First It is installed as formwork for your footing; secondly it is left in place afterwards for drainage. It is hollow and connected to the storm sewer system to drain. It is very effective since it is installed on both sides of the footing, perfectly level, and has a filter fabric on the drainage side to prevent any silt from entering the Form-A-Drain.
